This policy covers what OnTrack Auto Glass collects when you request a quote, book a job or contact the shop, what we do with it, who else ever sees it, and the choices you have. Plain language, no fine print games.

We Never Sell Your Data
Section One
We collect information you provide to us directly, such as when you create an account, make a purchase or contact us for support.
In practice, almost everything we hold arrives from a quote request, a phone call or a scheduled job. We do not go looking for information we have no use for. The categories of personal information we may collect are:
An auto glass job also involves vehicle details, so we normally take the year, make and model, the trim or options where they change the part, a description of the damage, and the location where the work will be carried out. If you have asked us to help with an insurance claim, we handle the carrier name and the policy or claim reference for as long as it takes to get the claim filed and paid.
We use the information we collect to run the business and to do the job you hired us for. Specifically, we use it to:
Day to day that means quoting the job, ordering the correct glass, calling ahead before we set out, and keeping a record of what was installed so the workmanship warranty can be honoured later. We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not pass it to anyone who wants to market to you.
Section Two
We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information to third parties.
We may share your information with service providers who assist us in operating our website and conducting our business, provided that those parties agree to keep this information confidential. Those providers only receive what they need to do their part, and nothing more.
In auto glass work there are two ordinary cases. The first is your insurance carrier, when you have asked us to file or assist with a claim, since the claim cannot be processed without your details. The second is a glass supplier, when ordering the correct part requires vehicle information. We may also disclose information where we are required to do so by law, or where it is necessary to protect our rights or somebody's safety.
We keep personal information only for as long as we have a reason to keep it. What that means in practice depends on what the information is for.
If you want something removed sooner than the timelines above, ask us and we will remove whatever we are not obliged to keep.
Section Three
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction.
That covers the obvious things, such as limiting who inside a small family business can see customer records, and not leaving paperwork where it does not belong. It is also worth saying plainly that no method of transmitting information over the internet, and no method of electronic storage, is completely secure. We take reasonable steps, but nobody can promise perfection, and any company that tells you otherwise is overselling.
You have the right to access, update or delete your personal information at any time. You may also opt out of receiving marketing communications from us. To do any of those things, call the shop or send an email and we will take care of it.
We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights, and there is no charge for asking.

Our website uses cookies to enhance your browsing experience. You can choose to disable cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect the functionality of the site.
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. Some are needed for basic things like remembering that you have already dismissed a message or keeping a form from losing what you typed. Others help a site owner understand, in aggregate, which pages people actually read.
Every major browser lets you block cookies, delete the ones already stored, or be asked each time. The controls sit in the privacy or security part of your browser settings. Turning them off entirely is your call, and some parts of this or any other website may stop behaving as expected when you do.
Some browsers include a Do Not Track setting that sends a signal to the websites you visit asking not to be tracked. There is currently no agreed industry standard for how a website should interpret or respond to that signal, and no common definition of what it obliges a site to do.
Because of that, we do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals in any particular way. We would rather say that plainly than claim compliance with a standard that does not yet exist. If a clear standard is adopted, we will update this section to say how we handle it.
Section Five
Our website and our services are intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Booking auto glass work generally requires a vehicle owner, so we have no reason to gather information about children and we do not aim any part of this site at them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it from our records.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page. If a change is significant, we will make that clear rather than quietly swapping the wording, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
If you have questions about this policy, or about the information we hold, the fastest route is the phone. We are a small shop and the person who answers can usually deal with it there and then.
